MOVE MINING COMPETITION

Monday, Feb 28th | 3:00 - 5:00 PM

Move Mining is a dynamic competition aimed at elevating the perception of mining. From grassroots to global, teams pitch their best ideas on how to share the everyday importance of mining with the public. Watch the five final teams present their concepts live at MINEXCHANGE, where the top winning team will receive $5,000, with second place prize of $3,000 cash and 3rd place prize of $2,000 cash.

6TH ANNUAL SME HEALTH & SAFETY DIVISION 5K RUN*

Monday, Feb. 28 | 6:00 am - 8:00 am

Join the SME Health and Safety Division for the Sixth Annual Fun Run/Walk! through scenic Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Bring your running shoes and warm clothes for this healthy start to the conference while supporting the Health and Safety Division. Enjoy views of the oldest and second-largest park in Salt Lake, including the oldest of two free-standing aviaries in the U.S. Participants will meet at the Salt Palace Convention Center and bus to the park for a fun run/walk at 6:30 am.
